Suzuki is going to launch a new scooter called Burgman Street at the 2018 Indian Auto Expo. This is the first time a Burgman scooter stepping into in Indian market. While the official details weren’t disclosed yet but according to the media reports, it is a 150cc scooter.
If Suzuki indeed puts a 150cc motor into the Burgman Street, the new scooter will be one of the most powerful scooters on sale in the country, joining the likes of the Aprilia SR150 and the Piaggio Vespa VX150.
The Burgman Street will be the first maxi-scooter to go on sale since the Kinetic Blaze which had tried to capture the premium sports scooter market when there wasn’t any. Features on the list could be a fully digital instrument pod, telescopic forks, disc brakes, and a multi-function key slot, generous under seat storage, 12V charging socket, tubeless tires, and LED tail lamps.
Price for the Burgman Street could be around Rs 70,000, considering the premium scooter segment market competition consisting of the Aprilia SR150, and the Vespa 150.
