Trump's controversial decision, considered Jerusalem to be the capital of Israel.

On Wednesday US President Donald Trump has officially announced Jerusalem as Israel’s capital, a step that could be a reason for violence and ailment the plans for serene in the Middle East. The United States officially recognises Jerusalem as Israel’s capital and will shift their the U.S. embassy there from Tel Aviv in the upcoming years, U.S. President Donald Trump said Wednesday, despite terrible warnings from world leaders about how such a step would imperil the Israeli-Palestinian peace streak.
Mr. Trump said the United States remains entrusted to brokering a peace agreement that both Israelis and Palestinians find plausible, and that the embassy move did not prejudge an outcome for Israel and Palestine’s borders or sovereignty. “We want an agreement that is a great deal for the Israelis, and a great deal for the Palestinians,” he said, adding that the United States would support a two-state solution “if agreed to by both sides.”
Who claims Jerusalem, and why?
Jerusalem is a pious city to Muslims, Christians and Jews, but striving political claims by Israelis, Palestinians and the international community have made it’s a matter of controversy. Here’s why.
The Israeli side:
When Israel was evolved in 1948, Israel and Jordan both had claimed on Jerusalem, and eventually, it was divided between them both. Israel obtained the east part of the city and Jordan the west. After the passage of two decades, in its Six-Day War with neighbouring Arab states, Israel captured the Palestinian enclaves of East Jerusalem and the West Bank from Jordan. Today, the most Israeli institutions are situated in Jerusalem like The country’s parliament, its Supreme Court and Foreign Ministry; and the official residence of the prime minister. But the Israel claim the possession of East Jerusalem and claim the Jerusalem capital of the nation, but it is not internationally recognised, so foreign embassies are located in Tel Aviv instead. Whereas previous Israeli governments have been wistful to reckon partitioning the city again as part of a peace deal with the Palestinians, the current government of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is not. Mr. Netanyahu hailed Wednesday’s announcement by Mr. Trump, calling it a “historic landmark.”
The Palestinian side:
The Palestinians also suppose Jerusalem (or especially East Jerusalem) as their capital, though the Palestinian Authority is currently located in the Muslim-majority town of Ramallah. Coaxing Israel for the patronizing the city again has been a key part resolution for the matter to the Middle East conflict, and to the Palestinian Authority, global recognition of Israel’s claim to East Jerusalem is a non-starter. Palestinian president Mahmoud Abbas requested on Tuesday to the Pope and the leaders of Russia, France, and Jordan to intervene against Mr. Trump’s recognition of Jerusalem as Israel’s capital.
India is unlikely to support the US President Trump decision. And Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his Israel visit he affirmed his support for the two-state solution between Israel and Palestine and Modi said the Indian embassy located in in the Tel-Aviv until the final resolution between two states.
