Audi Launches Q5 SUV in India

Luxurious car company Audi India has launched the all-new second generation of the SUV at a starting price of Rs. 53.25 lakh. The Q5 is available in different variants – Premium Plus and Technology. The fully loaded technology variant is priced at Rs. 57.6 lakh. The all-new car will reach India as CKD (Completely Knocked Down) kits and will be assembled at Volkswagen’s Aurangabad plant
While the new Q5 is powered by the same 2.0 TDI engine with a total output of 140 KW (190 hp) as on its predecessor it boasts a new seven-speed S Tronic transmission.
“With a lighter body, a whole new design language and a host of new infotainment and innovative features, the new Audi Q5 is the best offering in its segment available for our customers who want to enjoy driving whether it is on or off the road,” said Rahil Ansari, Head, Audi India.
The 2018 Audi Q5 is based on the flexible MLB Evo platform and mimics the design of the larger Q7. The new Audi Q5 is built on Volkswagen’s MLB-Evo platform – common to most of the large SUVs from the Volkswagen group, including bigger sibling Audi Q7, and the recently launched Lamborghini Urus.
