This allegation ignited a controversy in the political arena across the country. Congress party has dismissed this allegation and encountered on Prime Minister Modi and tell it a false story to gain sympathy.
Generally seen as a silent man former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh reacted on Prime Minister Modi allegation. Congress Party’s official Twitter handle released former PM’s written statement in response to PM Modi. Manmohan Singh started his letter with the disappointment and said “I am deeply pained and anguished by the falsehood and canards being to score political points in a lost cause by none less than Prime Minister, Sh. Narender Modi.”
Further he add in the letter and wrote “The Congress Party needs no sermons on ‘Nationalism’ from a party and Prime Minister, whose compromised track record on fighting terrorism is well known. Let me remind Sh. Nanender Modi that he had gone to Pakistan uninvited after the terrorist attacks in Udhampur and Gurdaspur. Let him also tell the country the reason for inviting the infamous ISI of Pakistan to our strategic Air Base in Pathankot to investigate a terror attack that emanated from Pakistan.”
Manmohan Singh rejected this false allegation and he said “I didn’t discuss Gujrat elections with anyone else at the dinner hosted by Shri Mani Shankar Aiyar as alleged by Shri Modi.”
He expected maturity from the PM Shri Modi instead of spreading falsehood concentrating his energy on high office. He also expected a sincere apology from the PM Modi for his ill thought.
