Deepika Padukone is the daughter of the badminton player Prakash Padukone, was born in Copenhagen (Denmark) and nourished in Bangalore. In the teenage she used to play badminton even she represented in the national level championship but left her career in the sport to become her as a fashion model.

Earlier Life and Modelling Career

  In the teenage goal of her life was badminton, which she played competitively from a young age. Padukone continued to pursue a career in badminton throughout her school years and played the sport in national level championships. In 2004, she began a full-time career as a model under the tutelage of Prasad Bidapa.

 Early in her career, she gained recognition from the television commercial advertisements of cosmetic products. Her fame increased when she appeared in a highly popular print campaign for the 2006 Kingfisher Calendar.

Acting Career

 She debuted in the acting career with a Kannada movie ‘Aishwarya’ in the direction of Indrajit Lankesh. This movie was a major commercial success. Farah Khan had cast Deepika Padukone opposite the Shah Rukh Khan in her movie ‘Om Shanti Om’. This debut movie of Deepika was a big hit on box office and it turned a breakthrough for Deepika. She followed the same aura of herself in the further movie like ‘Bachna Ae Haseeno’ (2008). Along with the Akshay Kumar ‘Chandni Chowk to China’ (2009) is the first flop of Deepika Padukone.

In the 2010 total five movies had been released of her but none of them was hit on box office. Despite in 2010 her movie ‘Housefull’ succeed commercially but the credit of this was given to another star cast. Movie critics criticize her plastic expression in the movie.
Her movie in 2011 also did not leave a remarkable spot on box office and Aarkshan and Desi Boys added to the list of her flops. The series of poorly received films led critics to perceive that she had “lost her sparkle”.
In 2012 ‘Cocktail’ turned up a significant turning point of her acting career. In this, she played a role of an impulsive party girl as Veronica.

In 2013, Padukone established herself as a leading actress of contemporary Hindi cinema by featuring in four of the top-grossing productions of the year. In the same year, she played a lead role in Abbas-Muastan’s movie Race 2. Even this movie received scathing reviews of both the actresses (Jacqueline Fernandez, Deepika Padukone) but it’s was became hindsight of its blockbuster commercial success.

Her next super hit release was ‘Jawani Hai Diwani’ comprises her role as a shy girl ‘Naina’ opposite Ranbir Kapoor.  After that, she scribbled her name of the filmy audience gives the many hits ones after that one such as Ramleela, a Tamil film ‘Kochadaiiyaan, Piku, Bajirao Mastani. Bajirao Mastani was named Best Film and Padukone received her second Best Actress nomination in that year
