Dies of starvation not a new topic for a country like India, a lot of news are covered by the digital and print media, and who knows how many are cloaked and concealed behind the unwanted debates and paid news.
On Friday while honorable chief minister of UP Yogi Adityanath was engaged in meeting with the Shri-Shri Ravishankar on the matter of Ram Mandir, during this time interval a news was flared that a woman in UP dies of starvation. When Government was busy to resolve big topics like Ram Mandir, this may be trivial news to Government but not to the family who lost their member.
Let’s look thoroughly what was the matter, a 50-year-old woman in Uttar Pradesh’s Bareilly, Sakina, apparently died of starvation after her husband, Ishaq Ahmed, was reportedly repudiated ration because she (Sakina) was unable to provide her biometric due to illness.

The woman, who had reportedly been unwell for five days, was unable to go with him because of her poor health. After they were denied ration, the household did not have enough food, Navbharat Times reported.
While more details on the case are still anticipated, the sub-divisional magistrate told ANI that the family was “very poor” and had an Antyodaya ration card and that the incident would be probed in detail.
This kind of starvation deaths come in the news because of a decree to the link between Aadhar and public distribution system (PDS). Whether the news of 11-year-old girl’s death in Jharkhand and a news of three brother’s deceased in Karnataka.
We can’t blame Government for each and every matter of the death. Aadhar card was implemented in PDS to minimize the corruption and become this system more transparent, no to become responsible for the many starving deaths.
The local distributor should understand the real reason why she/he was unable to come along with Aadhar card or for biometric verification. A distributor should work like a human not like a machine which follow the each and every directives and rule. Humanity always leads to the rules.
